Silhouette Soft Facelift

Silhouette Soft Facelift

A Subtle Lift without the Surgery ….

Silhouette Soft is a technological innovation offering women and men a minimally invasive way of reshaping their face and restoring volume by means of a 40-minute treatment within a clinical environment.

Silhouette Soft provides state of the art suspension via a suture and true technological innovation that opens up a new era in aesthetic medicine as the technique leaves no scars and can be successfully used for all areas of the face and neck, resulting in a fresher and younger look. Recover time is minimal and you can quickly go back to your full social and work life activities.

This non-surgical treatment comes in the form of resorbable sutures with resorbable bidirectional cones. These are made in the United States and their development was based on six ears of experience in suture suspension with cones used in reconstructive surgery and cosmetic surgery.

In the 3 eras since this innovative treatment has been made available more than 130,000 treatments have been carried out worldwide.

At Revitalize we are proud to offer this procedure at The Edinburgh Clinic by our Reconstructive Consultant Plastic Surgeon, Mr Stuart Hamilton. Mr Hamilton recently received a fantastic review of his offering by the press for both is results and for holding he position of the only Consultant Plastic Surgeon accredited to offer this treatment in Edinburgh.

Silhouette Soft can be used to treat different parts of he face and include:

  • Contours of the face
  • Jawline
  • Cheeks (and mid face area)
  • Eyebrows
  • Neck

During the procedure:

Your treatment begins with a small injection of local anaesthetic, after which, your surgeon will insert the suture under the skin to a depth of about five millimetres

No incision is required, as the suture is inserted using a fine needle. It is held in place with resorbable cones oriented in opposite directions (bidirectional).
Once the suture has been applied, your surgeon will perform light compression of the tissue to reshape it by hand and to obtain the desired lifting effect. One or more sutures may be applied to each area depending on the patients tailored treatment plan.

Following the Procedure:

  • After the treatment, some slight bruising or skin irregularity may appear at the entry points. These should disappear within a few days of treatment once everything has settled down.
  • You will be prescribed an antibiotic cream to apply on the entry and exit points of the sutures twice a day (in the morning and again in the evening) for a period of 5 days.
  • Cold packs may also be applied to sooth any swelling or discomfort, however this normally subsides within a few hours of the initial treatment.
  • Analgesia (e.g. paracetamol) may be taken for 2-3 days following treatment in case of any pain
  • We would advise you to refrain from applying make-up for a few days post treatment (min 24 hours)
  • Sleeping with your head elevated for a few nights will help reduce any signs of swelling
  • Avoid massaging or rubbing face during washing, shaving or towel drying
  • Try to avoid excessive face and neck movements for around 2 weeks
  • Avoid over-exposure to direct sunlight and do not use tanning beds for at least 2 weeks
  • Avoid sports, running or high impact exercises for at least 2 weeks
  • Do not use saunas or hammams (3 weeks)
  • Unless it is an emergency, try to avoid dental surgery for at least 3 weeks
  • Avoid any kind of face or neck massage/ facials / aesthetic treatments for at least 4 weeks

Most patients are able to resume their social and professional life fairly quickly after treatment and have little or no discomfort following the Silhouette procedure.
